Google and Meta fined 72 million dollars

South Korea has fined Google and the Meta platforms $72 million over allegations of privacy law violations.

According to the International News Agency, the Personal Information Protection Commission has issued a statement saying.

Google will have to pay a fine of $50 million while Meta will have to pay $22 million.
Google and Meta have been accused of using users’ personal information without permission.

but Google and Meta have not responded to the South Korean fine.

According to the Personal Information Protection Commission panel, the two firms did not inform users in advance why they were collecting the personal information of users when they collected it.
